Invisalign in Aurora

Do you ever wish your teeth were straighter?
Do braces get in the way of your daily look and routine?
If an alternative were available, would you be interested?
Would you like to move the teeth just a little so your teeth can be treated with less drilling for veneers or bonding?

At Smiles Dental Aurora, we are proud to offer our patients Minimal Tooth Movement Orthodontics (Invisalign) as an alternative to traditional braces (straight wire orthodontics as well as removable Hawley appliances).

For a long time, traditional metal braces were the only option for people looking to straighten their teeth. However, metal braces were very noticeable and difficult to maintain. Invisalign seeks to solve many of these issues.

Invisalign is an invisible alignment method involving custom-fit aligners that gradually straighten your teeth and transform your smile!

A few key benefits of Invisalign include:

  • Removable: these braces can be removed when you eat so food won't get stuck in them (however, they must be worn for 18-22 hours per day)
  • Easy to care for: you can brush and floss as normal
  • Sometimes faster results: Invisalign treatments typically take about 1 year, while braces can take 2-4 years
  • Comfortable: Invisalign aligners are custom-fit and apply controlled pressure gradually, so they are less painful than braces
Uses of Invisalign

Although the most common use of Invisalign is to straighten teeth, there are a few other issues that it can fix. For example, if you have gaps between your teeth, Invisalign can reduce the gap and decrease the risk of tooth decay. Invisalign can also help with crowding, overbites, and crossbites.

The Invisalign Procedure

If you are interested in getting Invisalign treatment, set up a consultation appointment with Aurora dentist Dr. Shasha. She will ask you about your goals, design a treatment plan with you, and take impressions of your teeth.

During the treatment, you will need to replace the custom-fit plastic aligners every 2 weeks and visit our Smiles Dental Aurora office every 6 weeks to monitor progress. Typically, Invisalign treatment lasts about 1 year and you will have an improved smile in no time!
