Porcelain Veneers
If your front teeth have been chipped, cracked or damaged, permanently stained, are spaced improperly, crooked or misshaped, veneers may be the solution for your smile.
Veneers offer patients a cosmetic alternative to more invasive smile enhancing procedures. A veneer is a thin covering or simulated "tooth front" that that is custom made to match your teeth and enhance your smile. It is constructed from a hard stain resistant material, often porcelain, so that it will last for a long period as well as improve your smile.
Dr. Shasha believes in being minimally invasive and will determine a plan to allow you to have veneers with the minimal amount of tooth adjustment, and often can achieve this using no prep veneers! If it is decided that veneers are the solution for your smile, a mold will be taken of your teeth and sent to a dental lab. Custom veneers will be created to fit your smile perfectly.
On your follow up visit Dr. Shasha will clean and prepare the teeth that will be covered in order to create a surface for the veneer to adhere to. The veneers will then be bonded to your teeth cosmetically correcting the imperfections that you wanted to correct, improving your smile for years to come.
